Kinghorn RNLI Lifeboat volunteers will host their annual Open Day this Saturday, 13th July, and everyone is invited! The open day will begin at 12pm and feature a number of attractions including stalls, amusements and a rescue demonstration by the lifeboat and a RAF helicopter. It promises to be a great family day out and the weather forecast is looking good.
Lifeboat Press Officer, Neil Chalmers commented: “This annual event is a fantastic day out for the whole family. We have many of our usual stalls this year, as well as popular attractions including beach games, emergency services, model boats and a yellow welly throwing competition. We’ll also welcome back Newfoundland rescue dogs after their amazing demonstration last year.
‘We will also welcome the RAF to the Kinghorn Open Day for the first time in many years with a demonstration between the lifeboat and the RAF’s yellow search and rescue Sea King helicopter, subject to operational requirements.”
Here at Fife News Online we would encourage as many readers as possible to attend and support the excellent work of the RNLI locally.
