Emergency Services Attend Vehicle Fire in Residential Street

Emergency services were called to a vehicle fire last night at Queen Margaret Drive / Malcolm Road in Glenrothes.

A video was posted by residents of the street on the Fife Jammer Locations facebook page, which appeared to show small bangs and explosions coming from the vehicle, parked next to local residences.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “About 10.47pm on Sunday, July 26, officers attended the report of a van on fire in Malcolm Road in Glenrothes.

“The fire was extinguished by the Fire and Rescue Service. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire.”
