A Fife man appeared in court today accused of stabbing his 74-year-old mum to death. Trevor Kidd, 42, is accused of attacking Maureen Ann Kidd on March 19th this year at her home in Kirkcaldy.
It is alleged by the prosecution that he repeatedly struck the 74 year-old woman on the body with knives. It is further alleged that Mr Kidd inflicted blunt force trauma to his mum’s head “by means unknown”.
The accused appeared via video link at the High Court in Glasgow today. No plea was entered at this stage and both prosecution and defence counsel agreed that a further hearing should be fixed. This will be in September.
