A 23 year old man has appeared in private at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court today, charged with setting a dog on fire while it was tied to a tree. It was doused with a flammable liquid and set alight.
He was also charged with numerous other offences including possessing a knife, attempted robbery, behaving in a threatening and abusive manner and malicious mischief.
Another 23 year old man appeared with him, charged with attempted robbery, possessing a knife and police assault but not the burning of the dog.
Neither man made a plea or declaration and they were remanded in custody and are due to appear again next week.
