Fife Flyers Ice Hockey Club have welcomed the return of 25 year old Chris Wands, a defenceman and that of fellow defenceman Thomas Muir.
Muir, 27, returns to Fife for his 12th season, during which time he has played 278 since his debut season in 2001/02.
Head coach Todd Dutiaume welcomed both players saying:
“I am delighted to be bringing Tommy back, he is one of the longest serving players we have here and knows what it means to play for this organisation.
“Over the last 2 season Tommy has grown as a player and has justified his inclusion in our team and justified the amount of ice time has been given, especially last season when he played really well.
“Chris is a guy who has made tremendous progress since we made the move up to the Elite League. He has a lot to offer on the ice and when he uses his size and keeps playing simple hockey he is a huge asset to us.
“Last season Chris played a significant part of the season with a sports hernia but it got to a point that he couldn’t carry on and he had to undergo surgery. He is looking good now though and we will be expecting him to perform night in, night out to the high level he is capable of doing.”
