Body Found as Fife Police Search for Missing Teenager

Fife Police have informed the family of missing Kirkcaldy teenager Dylan McIndoe that they have found the body of a young man in the Coaltown of Wemyss area. A police helicopter had earlier been brought in to assist with the search from the air. A formal identification has yet to be made.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police Scotland officers in Fife searching for missing person Dylan McIndoe have been informed of the discovery of a body in the Coaltown of Wemyss area.

“A thorough examination of the scene has been carried out and there are no suspicious circumstances.

“The family of Dylan, who was reported missing from his home in Kirkcaldy on Sunday evening, have been informed and Police Scotland is working with them to help them through this difficult time.”
