Police Appeal for Witnesses to Serious Road Accident

Road Policing officers in Fife are appealing for witnesses following a serious road collision on the A911 on Tuesday morning.

A motorcyclist and a white Ford Fiesta were involved in a collision on the A911 Glenrothes to Windygates road near to Preston roundabout at around 06.40am.

The 24 year old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and has been conveyed to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy for treatment.

Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed this crash to contact police immediately, to help piece together the circumstances.

Sergeant Andy Mather said: “The A911 is a commuter route and would have been busy with early morning traffic at the time of the collision. Anyone who may have seen either the motorcycle or the Ford Fiesta on this road are urged to contact Police and provide any details they may have.”
