Fife passengers warned of Sunday rail disruption

Rail passengers in Fife have been warned of Sunday rail disruption as Scotrail carries our rail improvement works on the line between Burntisland and Dalmeny. This means that the Forth Bridge will be closed to trains and that replacement buses will be provided.

A train service will run between Dundee and Dalgety Bay and buses will operate between Dalgety Bay and Edinburgh. There will also be buses between Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes with Thornton stations.

Passengers are urged to plan their journeys carefully in order to minimise disruption and are asked to remember that replacement buses may leave slightly earlier or later than equivalent scheduled train times.

The works will continue for three consecutive Sundays including March 5th and 12th.
